Begin with the character of Tbilisi and a day in Kakheti before heading into the mountains. Stay in Gudauri, explore the Kazbegi area, then continue west through Kutaisi towards Batumi.

Compared with our seven-day journey, this itinerary allows additional nights in the mountains and western Georgia, followed by a coastal stay. It combines guided sightseeing with time to enjoy the places where you stay, rather than moving on every morning.

The programme is tailored to your dates and interests. Accommodation, optional experiences and the balance between sightseeing and free time are agreed before booking.

Suggested route

Tbilisi → Kakheti → Tbilisi → Mtskheta → Gudauri → Kazbegi → Gudauri → Kutaisi → Martvili Canyon → Prometheus Cave → Kutaisi → Batumi.

Suggested itinerary

• Day 1 — Arrive & settle in: arrive in Tbilisi with time to rest; arrangements planned around your flight. Overnight: Tbilisi.
• Day 2 — Discover Tbilisi: the Old Town, the Bridge of Peace and the sulphur bath district, with part of the day free. Overnight: Tbilisi.
• Day 3 — A day in Kakheti: Sighnaghi and Bodbe with a selected winery, tasting or local lunch. Overnight: Tbilisi.
• Day 4 — Heritage & mountain landscapes: Mtskheta (Jvari, Svetitskhoveli), then on to Gudauri for a two-night stay. Overnight: Gudauri.
• Day 5 — Kazbegi & Gergeti: explore the Kazbegi area and Gergeti Trinity Church, with optional walking by preference and conditions. Overnight: Gudauri.
• Day 6 — Travel to western Georgia: the interregional journey to Kutaisi, with rest stops and time to settle in. Overnight: Kutaisi.
• Day 7 — Martvili Canyon & Prometheus Cave: explore both, with optional boat rides subject to conditions. Overnight: Kutaisi.
• Day 8 — From Kutaisi to Batumi: travel to the coast and check in; an introductory walk or an afternoon at your own pace. Overnight: Batumi.
• Day 9 — Gardens & coastal time: Batumi Botanical Garden above the sea, with a flexible afternoon for the waterfront or an experience. Overnight: Batumi.
• Day 10 — Departure or extend your stay: finish in Batumi, with the option to add coastal nights before travelling onwards.

Suggested stay plan: three nights in Tbilisi, two nights in Gudauri, two nights in Kutaisi and two nights in Batumi. Your accommodation can combine city hotels, mountain stays and serviced apartments; Luxury Apart Hotel apartments in Gudauri and Batumi can be incorporated, subject to availability.
